Tampered Handset Motorola E6

I had bought Motorola E6 from Croma Retail, vashi, Navi mumbai on 29th march

IMEI no. 35555701082607.I faced some problems in it, so i got it checked in the Motorola autorised service centre. But they told that the handset is tampered at the charging section so the warranty is void and i have to pay for the repair. After that i called its customer care no. as to how it can be tampered when it was opened for the first time by the service centre only. But after repeated calling i got no help form them. Then i went to croma from where i bought the handset, but that was also of no help and i was told that i have to pay Rs 6000 to get it repaired. Please look into the matter, as no person with a sound mind will open it tamper the handset on its own, when he knows the warranty is void if he opens it.
