Purchase of hot plate

I had been to the agency at Nagarbhavi Ring Road for obtaining of a new connection when the agency personnel indicated that i should buy a hotplate from them. Your web site FAQs indicate that it is not necessary to buy hotplate from the distributor. I tried calling up your number but in vain. The distributor does not agree to give a new connection without purchase of a hotplate. What should a customer do when he wants to buy another brand of hotplate of his choice. Pl. confirm that i can take a copy of the confirmation and produce it to the dealer.
