PROBLEM
1 Billing for the above Consumer has been erratic from December.
2 The apartment was occupied only for a month in winter for the past 3 years
3 The apartment has been regularly occupied since June
4 Billing for the period Feb – Dec was 49 Units
5 Billing for the period Sep 2008 – Nov was 182 Units
6 Billing for December was 2285 Units
COMPLAINTS AND STATUS
1 Since August to date, Mrs Meena Harisinghani has made about 20 visits to the MSEB offices (both the relevant technical and billing sections)
2 After repeated requests the meter was verified on 24 Nov and an OK given on the meter. The reading noted on that date was 02050
3 Despite the repeated visits to the office at Ganeshkind and after meeting Mr KEDARI at the billing section and Mr LAMGHE, NO EXPLANATIONS have been given as to how the billing has been done.
4 The Bill for December has come to 2285 Units and an amount of Rs 23, 240/-. This is absoulutely atrocious for a small family staying a 700 sq foot house with one geyser, one fridge, one TV, one mixie and a total of 8 bulbs in the house most of which are CFL bulbs with a 11 W or a 15 W rating.
5 A payment of Rs 2700/- has been done on 12 December so that at least on record, some payment has been made by the consumer.
REQUEST
The billing be checked and ratified and an explanation be given as to why the consumer has had this erroneous billing to her credit.
