Non functioning of internet

Our internet connection was installed on 13/6/09. At the time of installation the modem provided by mtnl was not a new one and looking faulty as appeared on the box of the modem provided by the mtnl. The same was brought to the notice of the lineman but he installed the faulty modem. Our internet is not working since 17/6/09. This complaint was lodged to the mtnl on 19/6/09 which can be seen from their record of urgent complaint. After that 5 days have been elapsed and despite several reminders no action is being taken by the mtnl authorities. If the same complaint is not rectified within 24 hours, I will surrender my internet connection.
