I took a taxi from Raheja Vihar, Chandivali to Domestic airport in the morning at 06:21 AM. The taxi number was MH 03 AT 315. The meter in the taxi was electronic. When the taxi approached airport the meter was showing Rs. 53. somthing. The taxi driver did something and meter went blank. After reaching airport, he demanded Rs. 150/- While the charges should have been around Rs. 60/- as about a KM back the meter reading was arounf Rs. 53/- The meters of such taxi should be checked and the provision for switching off the meters shoild be heavily penalised.
