HDFC Bank Salary Account

I have had a Salary Account with HDFC bank, Ahura Branch, Mumbai. My company had an query with the Salary credit of this May08. On company's request the HDFC bank has sent my account statement details from May08 to till date to the accountant.

On personal visit to HDFC they claim that being a Salary A/c they can provide account information of any account holder of that company employees' on request. And the bank claim, it does not require account holder's approval to share my account details and it is in their Code.

Can a bank reveal the details of an Salary a/c holder to account holder's company?
