Acer aspire 4710
Not able to format vista and install xp

Respected sir/madam,

My system model is acer aspire 4710. i had bought the system 18 months back.

"we apologize the inconvenienve, but windows did not start sussesfully.a recent hardware or software might caused this"

then i tried to format my system with windows xp cd then also some error showing

"setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer.

make sure any hard drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer,

and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct.this may involve

running a manufacturer-supplied diagonostic or setup programm "
