Increment of room rent

Sir, i have taken a flatno.ch 26, c.s.pur, patia, bhubaneswar-24 on last feb.2008 with our friends. At that time the rent was Rs.6000 electricity bill. There is no any agreement of increment of room rent in further time. But now he is increasing rent by Rs.2000.what we can do against him? please suggest us? we are student of b.tech.
