Toll collection for broken bridge

While traveling from Baroda to Mumbai on N.H 8, one has to cross Narmada bridge near Bharuch. there are 2 bridges in each direction to ensure that smooth traffic goes on in both the direction

However, since last 2 years, one of the bridge is not fully operational. Till recently, only cars were allowed to pass on this dysfunctional bridge. bigger vehicles have to use the other bridge. from last few months, this bridge has deteriorated and now cars are not allowed on this bridge. this causes heavy traffic congestion on the single functional bridge.

This bridge was built by a subsidiary company of L&T called Narmada Infrastructure Construction Enterprise Limited (N.I.C.E).

even though one bridge is not functional, NICE has increased the toll for the bridges. also, I have not seen any repair work happening on the bridge. so why is the company increasing the toll. they should actually stop collecting the toll till they repair the bridge
