Mysterious loss of Precious Items

We recently shifted from Kolkata to Chennai, and moved our goods through “Nationwide Packers”, whose head office is in Behala Kolkata.

Their address being 38/3 Swamiji Rd, Bangoshree Pally, Kolkata-60

Total we had 73 pieces of items. But two 6 numbered items were created without our knowledge.

The goods were sent on 10.8.2010 from our house in Kolkata & reached us in Chennai on 18.8.2010. The movers came at 11:50 pm & were delivering till 2:50 am. We were too sleepy and gave them the entire remaining due amount for the delivery.

Next day we realized that 2 items were missing, #6 & #34.

We communicated this to the Packers, and they assured they will ‘search’ for it- so that we do not lodge a complaint.

Now it is 2 weeks since that incident and the packers have stopped communicating with us. When we call they see our number & cut the phone. We suspect they have ‘misplaced’ the package on purpose, as one box contained important items from my cupboard, and when I was packing it, the packers were there itself & knew that this box has items from a steel cupboard, thus important/ precious items. Also they made two #6 packages without our knowledge.
