HARRASSMENT BY RPF CONSTABLE ON THE PRETEXT OF SECURITY CHECK

We are the Authorised Dealers of Cummins India Limited (DBU), 35A/1/2, Erandawana, Pune – 411 038 rendering services to various customers including Indian Railways for their various equipments powered with Cummins Engines.

Cummins India Limited (DBU) have major service facility at Pune Works and being a service organization our people make frequent trips to Pune by rail for meeting Customer’s service exigencies.

On 21-05, one of our employees Mr. A.Sreenivasulu was traveling from Pune to Tirupati by Train No.6381- Mumbai –Kanyakumari Express vide Ticket No.44775417 . He was having a small box containing Fuel Pump belonging to M/s. Tirumala Tirupati Devastanms, Tirumala, engine powering for their water pumping station at Tirumala Hills. Due to urgency of the work, this was carried in person.

At Daund Station, around 9.30 pm, RPF Constable Mr. Raothay harassed him. Mr. A.Sreenivasulu had carried all the valid documents of the material. The Police constable did not look into these documents and was insisting him to pay Rs.- as fine and he was not prepared to issue any receipts for the amount demanded. During the process the constable pulled out our employee off the train and robbed Rs.1000/- from his pocket and allowed him to enter in the train at 9.30 pm. He behaved arrogantly and irresponsibly and created panic.

We would request you to kindly make a note of this and do the needful immediately to prevent recurrence of such events in future.
