Next Retail Shop Jail Road
Complaint against Next Retail Shop Jail Road (Bill no-1686590, Dated 26-07-08.Invoice- 1759) and Videocon Service Cente

I decided to buy a window air conditioner for my kids. After going through the technical details of quiet a few of them in the market, I opted for the videocon VWM 2644(.8T) window ac with remote at the cost of Rs 10000/- .I purchased the unit from, Next Retail Shop Jail Road New Delhi on 26th July. The unit was installed by the Next show room engineer9 (Mr Mahesh) next day and charged 800/- But my problems started on that very night only

1-The drainage system of the unit was not working because it was installed wrongly. This was told by the service man

2-Panel light for cooling was not working and I was told that panel is defective and will be changed immediately

3 cooling: Temp range on the unit is from 18-30. BUT when the outside temperature is 40 and inside (without ac running) is 34, the temperature dropped down by the ac is at 29 max and that also after the ac runs for approx TWO hour.

4. Service: is really very bad. I had requested for a tech visit on the second day of purchase of the unit, annoyed by all the good features of the product. The guy came in after four days. For a brand new Defective ac with no water drainage, panel lights not working with extra poor performance I had to wait for four flat days and chase different people and the dealer to get a tech to my house. Finally when the tech (Mr Ahemad) came in he tried to convince me on each and every issue rather looking for the fault and rectifying it. The service boy that came was trying to convince me that panel is not available right now and will be replaced shortly and trying to get relief for his work

Till now more then 3wks has been passed but nothing has been done. AC is not working. There is no news when the panel will be changed

I had a very bad experience overall and would not recommend it to anyone to purchase Videocon AC from Next Retail Shop Jail Road but enemy.
