Dear Sir/Madam,
I have bought a Nokia 6233 (Black) mobile phone on 04/July/08. On 23/June/09 it had incurred a problem in which the keypad backlight was not functioning properly. I took it to my nearest Nokia Care centre where they sought it out as a breakage of an IC and told that it will be repaired at a cost of Rs. 980/-. Despite still having my warranty period, I still had to go with them because of the breakage factor. On 27/ June/09 I received my set from them paying an amount of Rs. 980/- and being assured of six months guarantee.
On 27/July/09 my phone incurred the same keypad backlight malfunctioning problem back. Now when I took it to the customer care centre they are directly denying the guarantee fact and asking the whole amount for repairing it further. Furthermore they hadn’t replaced the broken IC also. So what it turned out is that they haven’t repaired it properly in the first time but had taken the full amount for the service when it was under warranty period. And now they are again asking charge for the same problem which they haven’t repaired but had taken full money. This is an utter case of fraud & is not expected from a highly reputed company of NOKIA's caliber.
I am a loyal customer of NOKIA but after this incident I also started losing faith about the company. And if this continues then I am bound to switch my preference towards other companies. Even many in my surrounding neighborhood had faced some or other problems from the Nokia care centers and had already switched to other brands.
So it is my earnest request that you may give some light in this matter, otherwise I am afraid it will not take long to crumble the good image of the company.
