Complaint for HDFC credit card deptt for harassing me

Dear Sir,

I am carrying a HDFC Credit card (no. 5176 5210 0026 2677) using which I have bought a laptop last year of 40, 000/- approx. After that I didnt get any statement from the bank and then suddenly I got a call from HDFC Bank charging Rs. 200/- extra as a part of late payment charges.

They sent an executive to my place who readily reversed the late payment charges and accepted the entire principal amount (i.e. 40, 000/- approx in this case).

After that I never got any statement and call from HDFC bank for another 6 months. Then all of a sudden they started calling me that the overdue amount is in thousands as a part of interest having no principal outstanding (i.e. principal outstanding/overdue is 0). When I refused to pay anything they stopped calling me then suddenly they started calling me a month back i.e. after more than a year and said that I had to pay around Rs. 6000/- as a part of interest overdue.

The executive was Mr. Vishal and Ms. Megha was the manager (HDFC Bank Janakpuri branch) and when I told them the facts they agreed to reverse the charges and for settlement but they stopped calling me after that call.

After that I followed up 4-5 times with them but the Manager didnt come up and ignored my call. I genuinely want to close this case but seems that they are just troubling by not coming face to face and just harassing me after some time by increasing the interest amount whereas the fact is I dont have to pay a single penny as part of principal amount.

Now they have increased the charges to 7169.58/- and now they have already lien my acc in HDFC bank. This is not at all acceptable as it started from 200 Rs which should have been reversed and instead nobody is coming to talk to me to settle this.

I am really disturbed by all this and want to close this chapter, but seems they are not ready to close this. If somebody can help me in closing this then I will be really greatful.
