Substandard Quality and Unprofessional Attitude

I bought a pair of glasses from this Shop named Optics in F C Road on 2nd of Feb. The same was delivered to me on the 3rd of Feb evening. It was a pretty expensive spectacle frame and the lens was also assured to be of the best quality (worth Rs 8350/- to be precise).
However, the glass lens broke on the same night while I was about to wipe it out.
Unhappy at the quality, I reverted back to the Shop hoping that they would accept their fault. I expressed my discontent at this and asked them to substantiate this. Instead of accepting their fault, they counter alleged me saying that I must have broken the glass myself. Moreover, they asked me to be "obliged" to them as they would be replacing the lenses. As a consumer, I was taken aback at this unprofessional attitude. On pointing this out the store owner and the other 2 store employees started a heated argument. Instead of accepting the fault, they tried to shrug the onus off thier shoulders. This was completely unacceptable for me.
The way these peopple behaved shows that they treat the customers like God when they are yet to make a purchase. However, when their purchase is over, they just become non-existant. If the consumer show up with a genuine problem, they get annoyed and treat you almost insultingly.
Pathetic post sales service. I wish I could get my expenses refunded on account of their sub-standard lens and more importantly their boorish behaviour.
