Enquiry into a mail I got saying I won 500000 pounds

Last week I got a mail from (Orange communications)

which said that I was the winner of a huge prize. It stated that they selected me from a list of worldwide mobile telephone directory.

When I replied to it furnishing the details requested, I got another mail from Dr Steve Thomas (Prize administrator) that the prize money was deposited in a bank in Manchester, UK.To claim the money I need to send a Application letter to "Remittance Department of NATIONWIDE BANK UK". I have not participated in any further dealings yet.

Would you please tell me about the authenticity the bank and the company (Orange communications)??

what should I do if I get another mail to pay some amount inorder to get the prize money??
