On a Monday morning in early November I did an ichat to confirm that the otterboxes I wanted for an iphone and a Blackberry were available and if I could have the shipping expediting.
The response was YES so a half hour later, around 6:30 am, I placed my order. Online, the status was that the cases were 'in storage. The very next day I received one package with a handwritten note on the packing slip that the otterboxes would be shipped in a separate box. I paid $24.95 for overnight shipping. When I called to complain / explain, I was told that $10 would be refunded to me. So, ordered on Monday, no otterboxes on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. When I reached the service rep on Friday - I was held on the phone for over an HOUR while every attempt I made to cancel my order was thwarted in order that I "trust" them that there would be a shipment in the next business day. I insisted that I be allowed to cancel and that the $25 overnight shipping should be refunded in that shipping was "free" for regular US mail and I only received one of 3 items in my order. The $10 I was told I would receive was never refunded, and although the merchandise was coming from Sugarland, Texas, there was a mid-eastern accent to 2 of their customer service reps, one which admitted that I was speaking with India. I asked that they call me on Monday or Tuesday after the refund IF the cases came in and then, if I hadn't bought any yet, I could reorder. I never received any call. I placed an order for cases from eBay, purchased on Saturday from Walla Walla, Washington and received in Ithaca NY on Monday. I am dissatisfied because of I was not told the truth, and then I was patronized when I tried to cancel. I would not buy from this company again. I do not believe in outsourcing to other countries, and I do not believe in sandbagging the customer.
