I have been travelling Inida quite frequently. This time when I completed my immigration check while about to exit. I was asked to scan my luggage. I had some can foods inside it. Then one gentleman aged around his early 50 wearing white uniform came and asked me what I have in it? I said some can foods like 'tuna fish' and 'span' processed meat. He then bluntly asked me the price and asked if I want to negotiate in US $ 100.00. When I denied, he then called his co-worker and ordered to open my luggage. That custom officer was so shameless without bothering the reputation of his Country (India, Bharat) offered me 2nd time. Before me, I had seening same person talking to one Korean visitor. When I agreed to pay him US $ 50.00 he declined then his co-worker told him to be contented. Then he pointed me to go inside of the small room (presume where they do body check). When I was heading to that small room I saw that Korean visitor with grimmed face coming out of the room. He told me that they ripped him off. When I entered the room I saw another officer sitting inside. On seeing me the brought his right hand forward in a gesture of begger. I handed him US $ 50.00. He then said okay you may go and from there he signaled with his hand to the old custom officer telling that it is fine to let me go. You don't know howmany traveller and visitors are ripped off and harrassed by this INDIAN cutom officers. What image will the tourist, visitors get about ' Incredible India' and tell thier relatives and friends about their experience in India. Are all the Custom officer in India Dogs or Beggers? Had heard good and bad things about India but experienced worse. Governmnet has to do something or else India to going to be worse then Hell with no visitors. It is disgusting and filthy. Before single citizen be proud of your country clean this dirt.

These people are in gang, govt. employees.
