PAN Card Mispelt Name

Hello All,

I am Priyanka Shah and My PAN is BKMPS5050H.When first time I applied for allotment of PAN, My Surname was mis spelt on the card as SHAHA while correct is SHAH.

I have filled the form to update the Surname and received the PAN with surname as SHAH. This happened twice, since I lost My updated pan card once.

But when I search on site, https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/knowpan/SearchPAN.do I get My PAN only if I enter My Surname as SHAHA.

This means that the change is not reflected in the database.

I have to file My Income Tax Return and I am facing the same problem in that. When I am trying to register My self with My PAN, name and Date of Birth, its giving Me error as Wrong Name.

I have mailed this matter ask@incometaxindia.gov.in four times in last six months, but I have not received any response yet. Please suggest Me what should I do in this situation?
