NEW PLASTIC PAN CARD

Hi, I have a PAN card which was issued 10 years back in white&black card. I wanted to change the new plastic card (like credit card, debit card, etc).. When I approach the concerned, they asked me to fill the form, address proof, photos, id proof. I have produced all including my existing PAN card copy because I don;t want to change the PAN NUMBER. They asked me to produce the name proof with initial expansion.ie my name is N.VENKATASUBRAMANIAN, father;'s name is V.NARAYANASAMY. But in the pan card, it is printed like " NARAYANASAMY VENKATASUBRMANIAN' . I do not have anyother proof in this pattern. I replied that the existing PAN card itself proof for the same. They have not agreed.

I am surprised. Where to get this proof? They said that I should get it from some gazetted officer. They are also asking for proof to sign because I am having Id and Address proof in the name of N.VENKATASUBRAMANIAN only. I do not understand how to resolve this problem. Govt official should understand the logic accordingly. They should not blind on going by document. It is painful for me to make this exercise.

Please take it up to concerned authorities.
