Discripency in hdfc credit card statement dt 16.10.2008

That on 31/10 I received a statement of my HDFC Bank Credit Card No.-405028200120678 Stating that their were four transaction on 29/09 and 15/10 indicating that an amount of Rs.20000/- was withdrawn through cash (Copy enclosed).

That the aforesaid credit card was never lost and the secret PIN was never opened by the undersigned and it is in my possessions.

That the statement dt.16/09 stated that my credit due was Rs.28811/- (Copy enclosed)

That in the statement dt.16/10 my credit balance suddenly increase from 28811/- to 47323/-.

On the advise of Customer Care of credit card section I had lodged a complain in their Charged Dispute Form (Copy enclosed).

There after I had been disputing the discrepancy in the statement dt. 16/10 stating two main points.

1.> If somebody has done any fraudulent through the ATM counter then the individuals photo should be recorded in the Audio Visual Memory.

2.> It is physically impossible for the undersigned to use the credit card because I have not opened the PIN (Copy enclosed).

However, I have come to understand from HDFC authorities that they did not have the Audio Visual facilities of the time of transaction on the said ATM counters.

In view of the facts stated about I would like to put formal complaints on the following grounds.

a.> I would not pay the disputed amount and any interest there of in the cash withdrawal of Rs.20000/- .

b.> That I would not continue my credit card account with HDFC Bank credit card

c.> Further, I should not be harassed by HDFC recovery manager on this count.

This letter my be treated as First Information Report.

I am enclosing herewith the FIR lodged in the Behala police station for your ready reference.
