Hello All,

My name is Sudeep Subhedar, I had applied for PAN around 5 years back in Chennai.By the time card arrived I was moved out of Chennai, so I did not get the card.

Then I relocated to Pune, since I changed my company.

I got to know about my PAN number from internet (by entering the Application and coupon number).

For getting the PAN card I was told to re-apply for the card with the same PAN number in western region. I re-applied for the new PAN card with the same PAN number around 2.5 years back in Pune.

Given below are the details of my application:

APPLN NUMBER : 700888312

COUPON NUMBER : 016248348

PAN NUMBER: ATEPS9715P

APPL_NAME: SUDEEP PRABHAKAR SUBHEDAR

STATUS: UNDER PROCESS

DESP DATE: null

DESPATCH MODE: NA

Its been more than 2.5 years now, but I have not received the PAN card yet.

I called the PAN department office in Pune (details given below:), I was told that there are some enquiries and come and meet the branch officer. I personally went there and met the branch officer who then told that he will look into the matter.

After few days I got the status saying that the application is pending with Chennai office and Pune office sent some mails and reminders about my application but there is no response from Chennai.

I tried reaching below number for contacting the Chennai office several times but the number remains always busy or nobody picks the call.

Is there any way I can escalate this matter with anybody?

Request you to process this ASAP or forward to the concerned personal.

I really doubt it takes 2.5 years for printing a new card with the same PAN number. Can anyone explain why and where is the application pending? Why was there no communication from PAN department to me, if any information is missing required from my side?
