Parking lot/bay people looting ordinary citizens
Parking Problem across Kolkata

Dear Sir,

I wish to bring to your kind attention that the people looking after parking lots/bays are fleecing customers in different parts of Kolkata. Though the prescribed rate for parking per hour stands at Rs 7 yet different parking lots in Kolkata are charging exorbitatant rates. The problem is snowballing into major headache for people who need to travel with cars across Kolkata on a daily basis. Also it creates a very bad impression for our city. The malaise becomes more acute during weekends & festival seasons -parking lots in park street charges upto Rs 25 /hour, parking lot opposite great eastern (besides governor house) charges Rs 10-20/hr, few places in Brabourne Road Charges even Rs 150 during puja!!!

I would request you to independently probe this issue (in plain clothes if possible) and redress the same. Sir, I earnestly request you to punish the agents committing such a grave and endemic problem for the ordinary citizens
