Delay in issuing passport

I had submitted my passport for renewal at the Thane RPO on August 8. At that time I was residing in Nasik. I have still not received the passport despite repeated visits to the Thane RPO. In October I shifted my residence to Bangalore.

On the advice of the Thane Regional Passport Officer, I submitted a letter to the Thane Passport Office requesting that my file be transferred to the Bangalore Passport Office. Now the Thane Passport Office has asked me to come there and meet the PRO in person.

Commuting between these two cities for just a few minutes of work is both expensive and a waste of time as repeated visits in the past have not resolved this issue.

Would appreciate any assistance I can get in obtaining my renewed passport at the earliest. File Number is V017 487.
