Delay in receiving fresh passport

Hi,

We have submitted an application to obtain a new passport at DPC Rewa on 29-12, M.P. bearing application reference number as:

BPL-Z555714-08 = Mr. Shyam Awasthi.

BPL-Z555715-08 = Mrs. Mamta Awasthi.

For which a clear police report has been despatched from Rewa on 31-01 bearing police verification despatch no as 677 and 678. These applications have been submitted in december with an objective to obtain a passport within a 3 months time maximum by mid or end of march as my parents wanted to visit us at UK in the first week of April to help us during the birth of our child but this has been delayed.

We observed following discrepancies from the details on their website:

1. Passport application have been submitted on 29-12 at Rewa but the Appication date online is displayed as 06-02 which itself makes it delayed by more than a month.

2. Police station at Rewa mentions 03-02 as the date of receipt of clear police report at bhopal but status online was showing "Police report not clear" long after this.

3. The details of the file can be searched on the website mentioning year as 2008 but are displayed as year Feb this itself shows a considerable delay in forwarding file from Rewa to Bhopal.

4. The passport despatch date currently displayed in the website is shown as 22-04 which makes it nearly 4 months from the date of submission

In today's world when most of the passport offices in India are delivering passports in 3 - 30 days of time we are still waiting for our passports from 2 and a half months. This is really dis-appointing.

Can anyone help regarding this matter?
