Issue of passport of my son

My son's application is lying without any action for more than six months. In between they lost the application form. We last met the Regional Passport Officer who promised immediate action. But till now no action taken. They donot even update information on the Status in the site. I request anybody who has a bitter experience at Chennai Passport Office unite and lodge a RTI.
