Passport office New Delhi
Delay in reciept of passport

Dear sir, ihad submitted an application for the renewal of my passport vide application no F003968 on the 15-2-08.On 14-03-08 the first police verification took place. i repeatedly went to the passport office but to no avail .after 6 months i appealed for a re-verification. In august police verification happened for the 2nd time. after a long wait I still did not recieve my passport. the status on the net showed application is under process police report clear. I sent a letter to the RTIand i recd a reply stating &-quot;As per the computer records, a clear police report was updated on computer on 8-08-08.However, the physical police report is not readily traceable in this office. We have already sent a letter to police authorities for a duplicate copy of the same. As and when the report is recieved in this office, passport will be issued."

I have my doubts if the police would send any duplicate copy of the same.

What should i do? PLEASE ADVISE AND HELP
