Delay in verification

My name is Mohammad Nishan N. I have applied for my passport on 03/06.

I am doing my B.tech in SRM university in chennai in Tamilnadu, but i am a resident in Trivandrum in Kerala. The passport office needed the verification from both chennai and trivandrum. My verification from my home town is done successfully but is not yet done in the place where i am studying. The verification officers has not approached for any kind of verification even after the address is given clearly on my application form. this delay is causing trouble for us as we dont know what to do next and is in need of the passport for future purposes.
