4 months delay in issuance of passport

Dear All,

I had applied for my wife passport on 28th May 09, as i got married in Nov my wife was 7 months old to the place where i live, I got a letter from Thane Passport Office to meet the the Passport officer and i met him on 25th July 09 and submitted additional documents to support my wife claim too own a passport... after regular followup about passport status on website of government it was shown that the passport will be delivered to us in a week time but it did not happen and suddenly on 1st October when i go for enquiry at Thane Passport office i am informed that my wife file for application is closed due to negligence from our side that we did not meet them or enquire about our status.

Now i am being subjected to run from one police station to other spend lot of money on conveyance and other activities which are just illegal and still there is not update about whether my wife will get the passport or not.

such inefficiency by a department which has to deal in a responsible manner is shocking.

hope something is done and i get the passport for my wife.
