Delay of Passport over 8 months

Sir,

My mother Mrs. Leela Subhash applied for a new passport on 03 June from the Nagercoil Collector's office. We got the receipt of it following by the police verification the next month.

Since then there is no response from the Madurai passport office. We tried to contact through all the means but there is not even ONE to give PROPER RESPONSE. We also tried checking the status through internet, but it said that there is NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE.

I would like to know what exactly do we have to do next.

Please do the needful to get the passport immediately.
