Discripency in paying interest

I opened a fixed deposit account of Rs 6, 00, 000 at the SBI Sibsagar branch on 07-02-08 for one year .the acc no alotted for this acc was 30323788977.A certifcate was issued to me in this regard. As per the certificate issued the amount deposited would be matured on 07-02-09 and on maturity I shall receive an interest of Rs 57, 455.The plan under which the deposit was accepted was Reinvestment plan 8R CIT12EN .But at maturity the amount of interest credited to my account is about Rs 5, 000 less than the amount shown in the certificate. I shall be glad to know from you the reason behind the deduction of interest from my credit.
