Egarding broadband connection

Sir, i have booked bsnl broadband connection 3 month bach, one day my connection came and bsnl member gave me modem and take signature, anotherman give me some length of wire and told us to connect ur phone where u want. i cannot understand the way of installation. if bsnl cannot do then plz dont give ur advertise on tv and internet, i think i must go again for airtel.
