Cancellation of Admission

Sir,

I am a student of the pioneer physotherapy college[affiliated to the gujarat University], vadodara, gujarat; currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in paramedical course bachlour in physiotherapy and am in my first year.

For some personal reasons, I wish to cancel my admission to the above institute.

To my surprise and anger, I learnt from the college authorities that I would have to pay the fees for the ENTIRE course (i.e. the remaining 3 years) at the time of cancellation of admission.

Since this amounts to paying them an amount in excess of 2 lakh rupees; this is absolutely unjust and idiotic on the part of the college officials as I was not informed of this "rule" at the time of admission and they threatened to not return my SSC/HSC marksheets if I did not comply.

According to the University guidelines, do the college authorities have the right to ask students to pay the full fees during the cancellation of admission?

And if they dont (which I suspect is the case) what sort of action can I take to cancel my admission and get back my original documents from the University?
