Sofa imitation leather didn't last 6 months

Dear Sir

I had bought a sofa from Poonam's Furniture, Bangalore in August. The shop was located at Lalbagh Road. The seller claimed that the sofa will last for 6-7 years. He also claimed that the skin of the sofa is imitation leather. The skin started eroding since March. After that I tried to locate the shop but couldnt find it. Last month I saw their ad and realized it was a chain of Furniture shops. I called one of the numbers to locate the whereabouts of the seller and they clamied it was their franchisee and that they don't give guarantee on skin. I couldn't digest it. So I called them again to take the responsibility of repairing/replacing the sofa. After all it was sold under Poonam's Furniture brand name. They tried to delude me by directing from one person to another. Last week they finally sent a person to my relief to look into the condition of sofa. But he told me that I have to bear the cost of repair. Again i couldn't digest it. A sofa with claimed life of 6-7 years didnt even last 6 months. Let me know if I can get any kind of help from this forum on getting justice.
