Hi,
I am subscribed to NDNCR since May 08, however I started receiving unwanted calls from Airtel (Bharti cellular) which were autmatic IVR's .. I had complained to Airtel with the number and theNodal officeer also. I was given an assurance that this would not be repeated with a reference number. However I called the call center again and requested to be forwarded to the concerned deptt. so that I can understand if Airtel is an exclusion from the rules and regulations set by TRAI. I have not received a single response on that. On the other hand Airtel should respect the Indian Law code rather Airtel doesn;t bother at all, We as subscribers have to pay penalties but what is the liability of the telecom operaters as governed by Indian Laws and TRAI. Shouldn't they be indemnifying the subscribers.
One more point which I would like to bring out as part of this complaint is that even after paying the bill and the late fees, the service is deteriorated and still we are charged for the whole. I just paid my bill for the month of Nov 08 and my mobile is barred and emails are not responded. I filled a complaint to the customer care, they always tell they have an upgradation activity on for past couple of years, I have recrded conversations on that, if travelling we are more penalised because local helpline (121) for any city would say they cannot access another cities account (number).
I would like to take this forward for all the others also who have suffered and make Bharti understand a few basics of Indian Laws..
