Deactivation of Mob No

Today i requested airtel customer care to block my no and tell me where i can surrender my no and pay my full dues till date.

For this i also mailed at 121@airtelindia.com

But the reply i got is that they will contact for the same by 3rd Feb also the customer care executive said that rental will be charged till than inspite of my assisting that to block my no.
