Lost number not able to get it once again

Hi Sir/Mam

My Name is rubal singh S/o Sh.jitendra singh and i have a real big problem regarding my No:9810694864 which i took on my father's ID proof and it has always been on his name but unfortunatelly on 25 of last month i lost my mobile and i reported the FIR in the sarita vihar police station and when i went to get the same number i was completely shocked when person who was sitting in the showroom said that he couldn't give me the number as it is not on my father's name!!!

it's been 1 month now since i have lost my number and i m worried that how Airtel change the address without any varification?

Pls see to it as this is totally not acceptable and if needed then i'll take it further and ill make sure that nobody within my knowledge will be having any airtel connection in future.
