Simcard not activated

My Airtel simcard with handset was stolen on 01.05.09 at pune in Maharashtra State. I informed to customer care on same day to block the said card which is group mobile no. of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribation Co. Ltd (MSEDCL). The card is blocked. Then, I received new simcard having same no. on 07.05.09 from Co. But it is not activated upto date. The message on screen like "Invalid simcard"is displayed.

As this No. is my official no. I can't do my office's work smoothly without phone. Hence, it is requested to do needful at earliest.
