Number not yet activated

I purchased an airtel num from delhi on 25-06-09, my mobile num is 09650644240, and sim num is 8991100902139365421, the dealer assured me for activating the sim within 24 hours but till now number has not yet activated.please help me early as possible as i am facing a lot of problems
