Blackmailing & Threatening

Hi,

I would like to get some clarifications legally..There is this collection agency in Chennai trying to get their payment from me for their services. But since i got married i planned to terminate the card and close my account and had sent a letter and cheque which they claim they did not receive and thus they asked me to send the payment again..as there was no debit in my account for that cheque i decided to send the payment again. Meanwhile they had called my mother in law and had harrased and thretened her and had used abusive uncouth language and have insulted her and our family for the delay of payment.he later called my friends and my husband as well and have given false ideas like i ve asked them to pay my bills..which is just not true.they later called me up and comment about my personal life (like was my love life exciting and how it was and things like tat) how does he even know about my personal life..my msgs sent to my husband before marriage..My question is... Can Airtel Ruin my modesty and my respect in my in laws house and wit friends and relatives After i have told them to collect the payment from me personally or i can pay through any mode..Is there anything i can do to this kind of behaiviour and mental torture given by them. Kindly help me wit this rude uncivilised behaiviour from Airtel.
