Airtel Does Not Recognize Even After Two Years

I have Post-paid connection of Airtel for over two years. Since I requested for a better number, I was given an old number which was not in use. But now, for any complaint when I seek help of Customer Care, I am told that the number is not in my name!!!
My bill is regularly paid, but the company does not recognize me!!! Two years time is too short to correct records!!!
