The number which I had recieved from airtel on submitting my Identity and Address proof is been issued at someones else's name.

This I came to know when I had lost my mobile and went to Airtel Office to block it, They refused to do so as they said that this number and identity proof does not matches. I had been using this number since previous one year.

This means that the proof I had submitted for issuance of a new sim must have been issued to another person.

Now Airtel is not giving me the old number as proof is not matching.

Whose fault it is? Customer or The company? Whose negligence it is. The sufferer is of course the customer.

The mobile number is 09870653886 the sim for which has been lost and it cannot be blocked nor reissued as a new sim.

Pls see if something can be done in this case, as Identity mismatching is a serious issue.
