Airtel connection No. 9779744431- illegal withdrawal of outgoining facility- regarding immediate restorant thereof

Sir,

It is submitted that I have been working in the office of Director Health & Family Welfare, U.t, . Chandigarh and mobile connection bearing No. 9779744431 was got issued by my employer which is being used by me since 2008 and being govt. telephone its bills are being paid by the Chandigarh Administration, Health Department.

On 23.9.2009 at about 11.00 AM I received a call from Airtel Customer Care who enquired about an unknown mobile No. 987811974 and stated that a bill of approximately Rs. 2900/- is pending against that mobile number of Airtel. Since, the said mobile number was unknown to me and I had no relation with the said No. 9878611974 so, I told that I am not responsible for the charges of any other mobile connection.

However, my outgoing facility was withdrawn at about 5.00 PM on the same day illegally and without any reason and notice to me. I immediately contacted Airtel Customer Care Centre at No. 121 and apprised the factual position and told that mobile No. 9779744431 allotted to me is a government phone and I have no link/relation with any other mobile phone nor I am responsible for payment of phones of others.

Thereafter, I contacted the Area Airtel customer care and stated all the events but they also expressed their helplessness and stated that on paying the outstanding amount of mobile No. 9878611974 your outgoing facility would be restored. Further, on enquiry from the local office it came to my knowledge that the said alleged mobile connection was allotted to one Kishore Kadkar, resident of house No. 804/1 (Ist floor), Sector 41, Chandigarh and he is in arrears. Whereas I am residing in flat No.804 (Ground floor), Sector 41 and I have no relation with said Kishore Kadkar.

Since, the mobile connection bearing No. 9779744431 has been given to me by the Chandigarh Administration, Health Department, so due to withdrawal of outgoing facility illegally and unilaterally without any notice/reason, I am facing great hardships as occasionally my employer has to call me at the said government number and I have to suffer mental tension and harassment.

It is therefore, requested that since there is no outstanding amount against me, so, my outgoing facility may please be restored immediately, failing which I shall be constrained to knock at the door of consumer Court for claiming compensation etc. against you.
