Promotional messages/calls even after activating DND

Hi,

You all must be aware of NDNC policy launched by TRAI for benefit of mobile customers. But this policy is not being followed by the telecom operator. To brief you about this, if a person registers to this service then he/she should not recieve any promotional calls from telemarketers. I got my number (9958006771) registered to this service in April 09, but even now I recieve hell lot of messages and calls. I have talked to Airtel Nodal Officers, Appellate officers and GM multiple times but to no luck. I even raised this issue in the public grievance portal of indian government but even they could not solve it. Then I emailed TRAI multiple times but to no luck.

Airtel is not warning telemarketers and not taking any action against those telemarketers who do not check NDNC registry for sending promotional msgs or calls.
