Airtel Sim Card deactivated without any prior notice

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been using Airtel prepaid sim from the last three years. I have already submitted the required documents for verification at the time of purchasing the Sim card.

From yesterday, my sim card was disconnected and on talking to customer care they are saying that We have called/sms you for address verification and you did'nt give response, so they have deactivated the Sim though I did'nt get any sms/call from Airtel office.

I am really dissatisfied with this kind of service from one of the India's reputed telecommunication service provider.

Why should me as a customer suffer from such kind of mistakes from Airtel employees?

Why should I reinvest my money for purchasing new Sim card from Airtel when I had already one which was functional?

Is there any other way to escalate this issue?
