Hi,
I (Ashish Tripathi) took an airtel corporate connection (9971011906) which was activated
on 4th of Feb.
The outgoing call was barred on 10th of Feb for which i call airtel's
so called customer CARE center.
Some how i managed to speak to a CSR and i got the shock of my life
when i heard that there was 6000rs outstanding on my name. When i told
them that this no was hardly 1 week old and its credit limit was just
500 rs he told that this outstanding amount was for my old No.s
(9958093274, 9958093275). I was surprised as i had never used these
no's.
On enquiring more about it i got to know that these no's were
activated on my name when i was working for hcl comnet. This was
another surprise because i have never worked for hcl comnet and i can
prove that in court.
When i told all these things to a shift manager, (plz read
carefully... ) he advised me to go to gurgaon center of airtel and
prove that i never worked for hcl comnet (wow what an advise! can you
prove that you have never worked for microsoft hah...) moreover i live
in noida i dont have enough time to go to gurgaon and prove.
Now i have few querries for you and if possible for everyone in bharti telecom.
1) How were 2 no's activated on my name without proper
verification (since i have never worked for hcl comnet)
2) If it was activated how come i never recieved any bill for those no's.
3) If there was any outstanding amount against why wasnt i informed
about it. there should have been some sort of communication from
airtel's side.
4) How come the outstanding amount was transferred into my current
no's account without any prior notice or without my information or
consent.
5) I believe since you guys can activate any no on anyone's name so it
being a national security hazzard i would love to go to MEDIA (both
print and tele), TRAI and Consumer forum in the interest of national
security.
6) I feel i am lucky because if these no's would have been used by
terrorists or millitants for communication or terror activities i
would have been behind the bars by now and on this point i would like
to know who would have been held responsible for the mishap.
7) Last but not the least Is your customer care center worth it.
because i have had horrendous times with your call center. Have you
tried to call the customer care center and escalate any issue? try it
you will get the shock of your life.
If you want to escalate any issue then the first thing that the CSR
would do is that he would disconnect the call. And the stupid reasons
for not escalating would be that the CSR would not know who his
TL, MANAGER or supervisor is.
somehow if you manage to convince the CSR escalate then you will have
to wait on hold for unknown period of time and if you are patient
enough then your call will be either transferred to some other dept
which has nothing to do with your case OR if you have asked to speak
to a manager then it would be transferred to shift manager. I know its
an escalation desk but people there are not earning there salaries.
It was really very painfull experince for me to speak to your Call center.
Right now the no does not exist they barred my no. I have also file a police
complaint regarding this issue.
Can you do something in this case.
I am forced to give this advise: please change the name of your call
center as customer care center rather it should be CUSTOMER HARASSMENT
CENTER.
