AIRTEL DIGITAL TV
Complaint against digital TV subscription

Miscellaneous

Hi,

This is Abhishek Gattani from Bhilwara, Rajasthan. I have taken airtel digital tv connection in the name of "Madan lal Gattani", with customer ID number being 3001717987 on 15th oct, from "DIgital Electronics", Bhilwara. I took this connection under the scheme of 1750 rupees and 5 month free subscription of new value pack. At the time of payment, I asked the person to give me the recharge voucher which he refused to give saying unavailability of vouchers and told me that he would send it with the person who is coming to install the DTH. But for some reasons which I can't comprehend, he recharged my account himself for 1800 rupees and put me under 4 month MEGA PACK subscription which I dont want. Now my accunt balance is showing -50 rupees and also tellng me to recharge my account by 50 rupees otherwise my services will get blocked.

I have filed a complaint on customer care, but there has been no satisfactory answer so far (Complaint id - 1255814). When I complained about this to the "Digital Electronics", he pressed me on paying remaining balance to cover up his mistake. When I refused to do so, he started behaving very rudely.

This kind of services from Airtel DTH is definitely not what I was looking for. If I dont get my complaint resolved by Thursday, I am all set to move this to consumer forum.

Looking forward for a positive reply.

-Thanks & Regards

Abhishek Gattani
