Airtel Lifetime Prepaid
Disconnected service

Hi I have subscribed for Airtel lifetime prepaid. My connection number is 9910556920. I was out of station from July'08 due to my service and my phone was switched off. When I came back on Oct'08 end, I found my service disconnected. I contacted customer care center and they said it was disconnected as there was verification due to some terrorist activities taken place recently in India and since during enquiry, my phone was switched off, they disconnected the service. I told them why airtel didnot contact in my alternate number to verify. I have to travel abroad due to nature of my service and that does not mean that service proider would discontinue the service. I told them to verify the information and restore back the number. But customer care said that is not possible.

I can not understand why they would not restore the service as I had subscribed for lifetime prepaid connection. At least it should continue for intial 4/5 years.
