My entire balance, Rs.153.20/- was wiped out on 02 Feb in the name of Rental Free GPRS!

On 01 Feb at 15:00hrs I sent an SMS to 6123 requesting for MO daily package & got reply SMS, saying "... Service will be activated within 1 hour". After waiting for an hour called customercare - got confirmation that MO is NOT ACTIVATED since I have sent the request to 6123 and that I have to re-send the request to 56123.

Sent SMS to 56123 and got reply "... already active, ...deactivate and try again"

After several calls to Customercare, at 17:23hrs got connected to the net, finally!

Well, after more than 2 hours after the first request, got connected and went on using...

till I got disconnected at around 17:40hrs on 02 Feb.

Now comes the shock - My balance is reduced to Re.0.12/-!!!

My entire balance (luckily it was only Rs.153.32/-) was drained in the name of RENTAL FREE GPRS!

Received 2 SMS - One saying "... unlimited GPRS... deactivated at 15:01hrs

- Other saying "... unlimited GPRS validity has expired & u have been migrated to

rental free gprs, browsing chrgs @30ps/50kb. To go back to daily pack... etc"

I did not subscribe/request for this.

Is this another INNOVATIVE trick aimed at looting the customer?

Utterly shocking! Mobile Office users please be ALERT about this.
