Unsolicited advertising SMS

I registered a complaint on April 4 with the reference number 27153198 regarding annoying advertising SMSs sent by Airtel. I have registered on Do Not Distrub (DND) list from 2007; however, Airtel continues to push advertising SMSs and has increased the frequency manifold of late.

Several complaints have not yielded results. Therefore, I am seriously considering registering a complaint with the District Consumers' Forum against Airtel for harassment as these SMSs sometimes also comes in very late or during very early hours.

I have not deleted any of these SMSs from my mobile phone to have them as evidence, should they be asked.

I hope Airtel take cognizance of the irritation it is causing to its customers and abandon their anti-customer practices in a bid to make money by all means. They are violating privacy and also MRTPC act by taking customers for granted.
